
Hooven-Dayton began as The Hooven Automatic Typewriter Company in 1912 in Hamilton, Ohio. Hooven Automatic Typewriter Company was most notable for the invention and manufacture of its invention the “The Hooven”, a device for making duplicate copies of a typewritten letter. In 1935 the company moved to Dayton, Ohio, changed its name to Hooven-Dayton and began supplying businesses with printing solutions.
Today, Hooven-Dayton is a premier, innovative, narrow web converter and specialty printer wholly owned by the Che International Group, LLC (CIG), a multi-national holding company specializing in acquiring and supporting subsidiary companies in diverse industries through joint ventures and acquisitions. CIG purchased Hooven-Dayton Corporation in 2007 and is committed to growing the company and continuing its tradition of excellence and investing in the latest technology.
